The Ashwood Inn in historic Bayfield, Ontario, is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and relaxing settings created by Mother Nature. Situated near Lake Huron which features some of the best sandy swimming beaches in Ontario, The Ashwood is designed to soothe, stimulate, and delight the senses.
Located above the Bayfield River on the Bluewater Highway – Route 21 – The Ashwood Inn is an easy three minute drive from the renowned shops, restaurants, taverns, and heritage buildings of downtown Bayfield (Est. 1832). Nearby attractions include world-class shopping, golf, horseback riding, fishing, all-season recreational activities, and internationally-lauded live theatre.
Then again, you may not feel the need to leave. Our perch just across the road from The North Beach puts guests steps away from all water sports, including doing absolutely nothing – feet up in beach loungers as bright blue days melt into Lake Huron’s spectacular sunsets. Explore our 19 acres of unspoiled forest, lounge by the saltwater pool, or try one of the local craft beers on tap at our Lobby Bar.
The Ashwood is named for beloved ash trees harvested on the property in 2014, which now play a central role in the inn’s design.
